Dear Friends,

On January 22,1973, the Supreme Court of our nation legalized abortion. This decision has resulted in over 40 million little lives being lost to legalized abortion. To counteract the heavy spiritual effect of this ruling, the Christian community annually commemorates Sanctity of Human Life on the Sunday closest to the Roe versus Wade anniversary.

In the wake of abortion, there is a multitude of hurting men and women who silently mourn the loss of their unborn children. We as the Body of Christ can carry a message of forgiveness and hope for all those affected by an unplanned pregnancy - regardless of whether the pregnancy resulted in parenting, adoption or abortion. Living Alternatives is a ministry, founded in 1982, focused on carrying God's message of hope to some of the most vulnerable in our society. It is our prayer that all of our hearts will be stirred by God's love and grace.

Throughout this next year, let us all proclaim together, through word and deed, that every human life, including the unborn, is created in the image of our Creator God and is therefore intrinsically valuable.
